Overview
There are two ways to track bar code attendance in CampusLogin:
Program Level
You are able to simply associate all attendance data to the student, by signing them in and out each day. All data will then be associated to the student on the program level. And you would be able to compare the students required hours versus their attended hours.
Course Level
You are also able to associate the attendance data to a specific course. This will require you to specify which course(s) you would like to use bar code attendance for, and when taking attendance, you must first specify which course you are taking attendance for. Taking attendance by course requires more admin work, and in turn you will have attendance data broken out by course, instead of just by program. This will allow you to see required hours versus attended hours by course.

Hardware Requirements
-
The bar code scanning works with any USB bar code scanner. Higher quality scanners will have longer range and more accuracy.
-
You can go to Amazon (or any preferred retailer) and just search “USB bar code scanner” for many options starting at only $30
-
You are able to use these scanners, as long as your scanner supports USB.
-
If you are having trouble getting your scanner to work please reach out to your account manager for assistance.
